Loading... Please wait...Light Bohrd was born in the garage of Chris and Mason Forgey, a father and son team who first began experimenting with the idea of illuminated skateboards in 2010. Their initial goal quickly evolved into a relentless quest to build the highest quality longboards and skateboards possible.
Their simple laminated boards with LEDs have evolved and their dream has become a reality. Light Bohrd has moved into a bigger manufacturing facility just outside of Austin, TX where each and every board is built from start to finish resulting in some of the most durable, fun to ride boards available. From casual riding to downhill racing, Light Bohrd has something to offer everyone.
Light Bohrd's unique graphics and patented light up technology catch your eye to start with, but just wait until you get one of these decks under your feet to feel the innovation and technology you've been missing.
Each board begins deep in the Canadian wilderness where the highest quality Maple known to mankind is found. After harvest and processing, the raw sheets are shipped directly from the mill to our Austin, TX manufacturing facility, where the magic begins.
Into the press go seven to nine sheets of maple, two sheets of tri-axial fiberglass and out comes some impressively bent wood, shred ready for boosting big airs and mega slides. Additionally, Light Bohrd graphics are built to last and printed on a highly durable material which is pressed into the deck giving you the longest lasting graphics on the market.
Couple this with the one of a kind light up technology and you have a board that oozes steeze.
It is this light up graphic technology that really makes the boards pop, offering you not only a reliable deck for shredding, but also a deck that sets you apart in the pack of riders out there today.
For you parents out there, an added benefit of the light up technology is the safety factor it provides for nighttime riding. A board or helmet that lights up is far more likely to be seen by unsuspecting drivers, keeping your little shredder safe.
The motion of the ride activates the LED light within. LIGHT BOHRD longboards use an internal power source that charges wirelessly using the incredible technology of PowerMat. All of our longboards are constructed and hand-finished by our team here in our Austin, Texas, and built with 9-ply pure Canadian maple.
